Students aim for colleges that matter. Why? Because colleges shape us how we think. While ordinary and mediocre colleges teach us what to think, top colleges guide us about how to think. And if you think deeply, this single difference is worth your effort to try to get into one of these top colleges that we are about to describe here in the following.

We have picked 10 colleges and will talk about the academics, faculty, infrastructure, fees, seats and the way the course are being taught. And at the end we will post our review for the college for their complete package of education. But we want you to think for yourself. Read everything. Then do your own due diligence before enrolling yourself for one of the following colleges. Let’s begin. We will go in ascending order, first from 1, then gradually to 10.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi

This is the top most engineering institute in India. This is located in the heart of New Delhi. It’s being given the top position because of its infrastructure and facilities and the way students are nurtured within the campus. There are total 11 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. There are also residential arrangements for its married students. All the faculties and staffs are also being offered separate residential arrangements.

There are also facilities like theatre rooms for lectures, workshop facilities and prodigious libraries. The programs that are being taught in the college are Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Textile technology, Production and Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Chemical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. The overall seats in this college are 653. The annual fee is reasonable, only Rs. 90,000 per annum

Now, if we need to add our review, we would give it 10 out of 10. Because, in every arena it is the best. Pick placement, it has 100% placement and all its students get placed in top most companies in the world. Think academics, it has world-class faculties. Bring in research, it has world class facilities to do research and create innovations. And moreover IIT, Delhi cares for its students and nurtures them. For your ease, we will also add the contact information.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur

The second position is taken by IIT, Kharagpur. It’s so big in size that you can call it a little town. It has spread over almost 2,100 acres of land and more than 20,000 people stay in its campus. There are total 20 hostels, out of which 10 are for male students who are yet to graduate, 2 for female students and the rest are for students who are pursuing their masters and doing their research.

You would be surprised to know that IIT, Kharagpur campus has 55 kilometres of roadways. It offers various programs to its engineering students. Starting from Aerospace Engineering, it teaches Biotechnology, Mining Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural & Food Engineering, Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering etc.

It has same capacity as IIT, Delhi; it has total 653 seats. The annual fee is also similar to IIT Delhi, Rs. 90,000. It is as similar as IIT, Delhi. But maybe due to the prominence of Delhi, IIT Delhi posits the first position. IIT Kharagpur is also 10 out 10 in employability, placement, infrastructure and faculties. If you ever dream of a top engineering college of India, this is the one for you.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay

IIT, Bombay takes the third position. Now, you can understand why engineering students all over India are mad about IITs; because they deliver. The campus is not as prodigious like IIT, Kharagpur (IIT, Bombay is spread over 550 acres), but the campus is surrounded by two lakes, namely Vihar and Powai. Like IIT, Kharagpur, this is also a small township. Facilities that are available are central libraries, staff club, hospital, guest house, students’ hostels, counselling care centre and travel desk.

IIT, Bombay offers fewer specializations compared to IIT, Kharagpur. It offers Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Metallurgical & Material Science. It has 694 seats, 41more seats than IIT, Delhi and IIT, Kharagpur. The annual fee is as similar as top two IITs, Rs. 90,000 annually.

The natural beauty of this campus is magnificent and worth a mention. In the North Mumbai area, this is the best place that one can go to. It takes special nurturing for students who are pursuing their graduate studies as well as students who are having families and would like to endeavour into research and doctoral studies. Again, in employability, academics and nurturing the students, this is as similar as the top two IITs in India. It gets 10 out of 10 in what it is committed to offer to its students.
