OCT’s are based on Faraday effect, interferometric principle, Bragg Grating and Micromechanical sensors with optical readout.

Resonant Based Solid State Marx Generator

This presentation gives an insight into Pulsed Power Technology and to introduce the concept of resonance in Marx Generator. Conventional Marx Generator First described by Ervin Otto in 1942. At start a number of capacitors are charged in parallel and then discharged in series via spark gap switches. It ideally produces a voltage of n x V, n being the number of stages. Performance of the largely Marx generator depends upon selection of capacitor and the discharge timing. Doping of electrodes in spark gap with radioactive isotopes improves switching performance.

Magneto Optic Current Transducer (MOCT)

An accurate electric current transducer is a key component of any power system instrumentation. To measure currents power stations and substations conventionally employ inductive type current transformers with core and windings. Conventional current transformers becomes more and more bulky and costly. The MOCT measures the electric current by means of Faraday Effect.  Magneto Optic Current Transducer consist of a sensor head located near the current carrying conductor, an electronic signal processing unit and fiber optical cables linking to these two parts.

Battery Two Wheeler

The Electric two wheeler, which runs with battery, is the new technology which is under development. Present technology is handled with mechanical energy conversion. Mechanical energy converted into rotatory motion by piston arrangement. At present available engines are 4 stroke engine it has four stages. Suction, X Compression, Power & Exhaust. These stages are repeated in cyclic manner. Such type of arrangements are not required in electric two wheeler. The battery is directly connected to the motor (Which converts electric energy in to rotatory motion) then after transmission. The electric two-wheeler is light weight, cheapest vehicle which is best fitted for present environmental conditions.
